Karn Sharma – Indian Cricketer.
On October 23, 1987, Karn Vinod Sharma, an Indian cricketer, was born. He plays cricket for the Railways as an all-rounder. In 2014, he made his T20 International debut against England as a left-handed batsman and leg-break bowler. On November 13, 2014, he played his first One Day International (ODI) for India against Sri Lanka. He then played his debut Test match against Australia in Adelaide on December 9, 2014.
Domestic Career.
Karn Sharma made his first-class debut against Jammu & Kashmir at the Karnail Singh Stadium during the 2007–08 Ranji season. He was a skilled hitter who scored 120 runs off 232 balls and smashed 17 fours in that match. His performance helped the Railways cricket team win by an innings and 88 runs.
In July 2018, he was added to the India Green squad for the Duleep Trophy in 2018–19. He became the leading wicket-taker in Andhra with 12 in eight games of the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

International Career.
On September 7, 2014, Karn Sharma played his first match as a T20 International (T20I) against England.
A One Day International (ODI) Career
He faced Sri Lanka in his maiden One-Day International match on November 13, 2014. Unfortunately, his poor ball-handling abilities prevented him from getting a chance to bat during the game.
Career Assessment
On December 9, 2014, barely one month after making his ODI debut, Karn Sharma played his maiden Test match against Australia. He took four wickets in two innings, including two of his IPL teammate David Warner. However, he only managed to score eight runs in each of the two innings.

Indian Premier League (IPL).
Karn Sharma played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in 2009.
In 2013, he signed a contract with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). With experienced bowlers like Dale Steyn, Thisara Perera, and Amit Mishra in the lineup, it was believed that opposing hitters would target him. However, he responded with mature performances. His early tournament performance against Kings XI Punjab, where his spin caused their batsmen trouble, showcased his talent.
With an excellent economy rate, he strengthened an already strong bowling repertoire and challenged veteran leg-spinner Amit Mishra. He hit a crucial unbeaten innings of 39 runs with the bat when SRH suffered their first home defeat to the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
After Sunrisers Hyderabad outbid Kings XI Punjab in a bidding war and acquired him for ₹3.75 crore, he became the highest-paid uncapped Indian player of the 2014 IPL season.
He was still the main spin bowler for SRH in 2015. He and Sunrisers Hyderabad won the Indian Premier League the next year.

In preparation for the 2017 Indian Premier League season, the Mumbai Indians (MI) paid ₹3.2 crore to acquire him in February 2017. By delivering 12 dot balls in the final and giving up just 18 runs in four overs, he significantly contributed to Mumbai’s title-winning effort.
He was acquired by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the 2018 IPL auction for ₹5 crore, and he went on to win the 2018 IPL title. His ability to win three consecutive IPL titles with three different clubs (CSK in 2018, MI in 2017, and SRH in 2016) is a rare achievement made possible by this.
In February 2022, Karn Sharma was purchased by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in anticipation of the Indian Premier League in 2022.
Challenges & Future Prospects.
Karn Sharma has steadily improved in domestic cricket. Although he has the perfect leg-spinner skills, some experts think he didn’t have the temperament for longer formats like Test cricket at first. Many thought he was too young for red-ball cricket during the 2014 season, but he has since grown as a player. With the growing significance of wrist spinners in international cricket and his ability to contribute in white-ball cricket, Karn still has the chance to make an impression at higher levels, and if he takes advantage of his chances, he could be a serious candidate for future international selections.
